The Southern University System Foundation
The Southern University System Foundation is a private, nonprofit corporation established to direct resources to each of the five campuses of the Southern University System. The Foundation is a voluntary institute of business and professional leaders, proudly incorporated to provide broader educational advantages to our students, encourage research among our faculty, and advance the University's role in helping to build an increasingly functional Louisiana.
The Office of Development and Advancement
The Office of Development and Advancement plays a pivotal role in supporting the mission of both the Southern University System Foundation and the Southern University Laboratory School. Our commitment is to build lasting relationships, foster engagement, and secure resources that strengthen and enhance the educational experiences of students across the Southern University System.
Every day at the Southern University Laboratory School, amazing things are happening. Through the generous support of our alumni, parents, friends, community stakeholders, and corporate partners, we honor the traditions and legacy of over 100 years of excellence, while embracing the potential of every student now and for future generations.
Tuition and fees alone do not fulfill the promise of a “Laboratory School” education. Gifts that are made directly to the Laboratory School are housed at the foundation. As such, the foundation provides us with an opportunity to go above and beyond as we continue to educate our students. Gifts received helps to enhance our already world-class faculty, academic programs, athletic department, and expand course offerings and learning experiences. It also leverages our service-oriented cultural, community outreach and improves our campus environment.
